EPL WEEK 11: PREDICTIONS

Aston Villa (H) vs Newcastle (A) - postponed due to COVID cases at Newcastle United. To be rescheduled at a later date.

Burnley (H) vs Everton (A)

Head to Head: Everton 7 wins Burnley 5 wins

There have been 0 draws between these two teams in the premier league competition which means one team will win to make it lucky 13 right? This will be Sean Dyche's 200th PL match in charge and his players will be at home & motivated to win this match for him. Everton are still without their wingbacks Lucas Digne & Seamus Coleman & Burnley forwards Chris Wood & Jay Rodriguez could exploit their height advantage from set pieces & corners. Everton just a class apart and will spoil Sean Dyche's milestone. Prediction: Everton 2-1

Manchester City (H) vs Fulham (A)

Head to Head: Manchester City 13 wins Fulham 4 wins 9 draws

City have won their last 9 matches against Fulham & are unbeaten in their last 39 PL home games against promoted sides. Sergio Aguero is back in training but most likely not up to full fitness but could figure as a substitute. With last week's mauling of Burnley, City will look to continue their good form at home & with young players such as Phil Foden & Ferran Torres in sparkling form, look for City to continue their dominance against the Cottagers. Prediction: Man City 4-0

West Ham United (H) vs Manchester United (A)

Head to Head: Manchester United 28 wins West Ham 7 wins 13 draws

West Ham have won their last 2 PL home matches against United & will look to make it 3 in a row against the Red Devils for the first time since they won 4 between Jan 74 & Dec 77. United have won their last 8 away league matches this season but manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer may have to do without Marcus Rashford who is battling a shoulder injury. The Hammers will be without Mikhail Antonio again as he injured his hamstring against Aston Villa last week. Prediction West Ham 2-1

Chelsea (H) vs Leeds (A)

Head to Head: Chelsea 8 wins Leeds 8 wins 8 draws.

Blues manager Frank Lampard will have a full squad to pick from which will be an enormous advantage for Chelsea who are on a 8 match unbeaten streak. The Blues have also kept 5 clean sheets, the most in the competition so far. Leeds striker Patrick Bamford has 6 away goals bettered only by Son Heung-Min & Jamie Vardy who both have 7 each. Leeds were fantastic against Arsenal & could cause the Blues some headaches but Frank Lampard will have enough depth in his squad to see this one out. Prediction: Chelsea 2-1

West Bromwich Albion (H) vs Crystal Palace (A)

Head to Head: Crystal Palace 5 wins West Brom 4 wins 3 draws

The Baggies beat Sheffield United last week for the 3 points last week and will look to extend that to 2 matches won for the first time in the PL since May 2018. Palace welcome back Wilfried Zaha & Luka Milivojevic and manager Roy Hodgson could equal Harry Redknapp's & Sam Allardyce's record against their former teams (11) with a win against his former team. Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-1

Sheffield United (H) vs Leicester City (A)

Head to Head: Leicester City 2 wins Sheffield United 0 wins 0 draws

The Blades are the first PL team with just a solitary point after their first 10 games of the campaign. Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers would like to win to avoid the embarrassment of losing three consecutive games to the bottom three starting with AFC Bournemouth last season, Fulham last week and the Blades this week. The Foxes welcome back Wilfried Ndidi who played mid week and may also have Caglar Soyuncu play some part after a long term injury layoff. Jamie Vardy has the most away goals this season (7) so look for the sharpshooter to continue his away goal-scoring streak. Prediction: Leicester 3-1

Tottenham Hotspurs (H) vs Arsenal (A)

Head to Head: Arsenal 20 wins Spurs 13 wins 23 draws

A once enthralling North London derby is no longer a classic considering Arsenal's woeful form. Thomas Partey may return while David Luiz will be assessed for the sickening head clash with Raul Jimenez last weekend against Wolves. Spurs are unbeaten in their last 6 home games against the Gunners and with the likes of Giovanni Lo Celso, Gareth Bale plus Son Heung-Min & Harry Kane at his disposal, Mourinho will want to continue the unbeaten streak. Prediction: Spurs 3-1

Liverpool (H) vs Wolverhampton Wanderers (A)

Head to Head: Liverpool 9 wins Wolves 1 win 2 draws

The Reds could welcome back Trent Alexander-Arnold & Baby Keita but GK Alisson is sidelined with a hamstring strain. Liverpool have had the measure of Wolves recently with the Reds winning their last 7 games against Wolves with a 15-2 aggregate. Raul Jimenez is out after last week's sickening head clash injury but Romain Saiss returns after a few weeks out with illness. Ex Wolves striker Diogo Jota could become just the fourth man after Jermain Defoe, Alan Shearer and Les Ferdinand to score in 5 consecutive PL home games.

Prediction: Liverpool 1-0

Brighton (H) vs Southampton (A)

Head to Head: Southampton 2 wins Brighton 0 wins 4 draws

Brighton are looking to go four matches unbeaten for the first time since a run of 5 unbeaten between Jan & March 2018. And with the safe return of fans to matches, Brighton would love to win their first home game of the season for their fans. They'll have to do it without the services of Adam Lallana & Davy Propper while Neal Maupey will be assessed for a hamstring strain. Tariq Lamptey returns for Brighton after a 1 match suspension. The Saints could welcome back Danny Ings who was scoring goals before his knee injury sidelined him for a few weeks. Manager Ralph Hasenhüttl will be looking for his team to bounce back straight away after last weekend's last gasp loss to Man United and keep the Saints firmly in the top 6 and in the mix for European qualification. Prediction: Southampton 2-1

Last Week: 3 out of 10
